Here's How to Choose What to Practice for Maximum Progress in Minimum Time...
"How do you eat an elephant?"
One bite at a time, of course.
But you still want to eat the elephant.
And most guitar teachers ignore that. They dumb down your exercises so that they are easy.
I've seen students get handed shadow versions of the actual songs they want to learn.
This is well-intentioned, of course. And I've got nothing bu respect for guitar instructors.
But this conventional approach is unnecessarily slow-moving.
You don't want things that are easy. You want things that are exactly what you want to play. No matter how difficult.
You make it easy by zooming in and focusing on the one thing you can do.
Without zooming in, developing skill on the guitar (or anything else) is overwhelming.
But when you zoom in, skill development becomes almost miraculously manageable.
The more narrow the zoom (and the higher your quality of focus), the faster you'll become fluent.
And there are many places where this zooming takes place:
These nano successes give you continuous bursts of motivation, which gains you momentum.
The momentum compounds, and in a remarkably short period of time; you make colossal progress.
Now, this focused approach will help you make stunning progress.
But let’s take it up yet another level.
We’ll add another layer to these hyper-concentrated conditions that will allow you to gain maximum benefit for the same amount of effort:
Relentlessly focus on what you can do and expand from there.
This is how you make the elephant invisible.
This is how you make your efforts highly effective and efficient.
It is the ability to zoom in with radical exclusivity and selective attention and go deep with the most minute movements and details that reward you with mastery.
Impulsively, we tend to want to rush.
We want to swallow the whole elephant.
By Obsessively Zooming in and Narrowing Your Attention, You'll Rapidly Improve...
Paradoxically, it is in not rushing, but rather, it is in obsessively narrowing our concentration that we most rapidly progress.
Nanosynthesis is the process of executing this type of high quality zooming in.
So here's your curriculum. Here's exactly what to practice next for maximum, meaningful progress in minimum time:
Step 1
Focus on a single skill at a time, for a 30-day stretch.
This immediately reduces overwhelm and simplifies complexity. (And there are a whole host of other benefits for your brain, too).
Step 2
Then, to learn the skill you’ve targeted, find moments in songs you enjoy in which the skill is heavily used.
(There may be many skills used in a snippet of a solo, of course, but that’s okay. As long as the skill you’re focused on is a main feature of the selection, you’re on the right track).
Find four moments where the skill pops up in sections of songs you enjoy. This will add some spice and variety to your curriculum.
(Alternatively, find a full song (or solo) that’s long enough to keep you busy for the whole 30-day stretch.)
You can make this easier by taking this quiz.
Step 3
For bonus benefit, focus on songs (or sections of songs) from a single guitarist that you admire or envy.
This deep-dive into their material for a month will help you learn to see the fretboard more like they do.
If you repeat this process with multiple guitarists over the span of a year; you’ll unlock the fretboard in a natural and empowering way.
(The best part is: you'll do this without having to subject yourself to the brain damage that can come from wading through music theory*).
*Of course, music theory isn’t universally such a slog, but it’s a common frustration that can largely be avoided by emulating other guitarists, because you’ll learn to see in patterns that are proven to sound musical and pleasing to the ear.
As testament to how well this works: I went 15 years without knowing a lick of music theory, but still got by exceptionally well as a professional guitarist, songwriter, and musician.
If you want an unparalleled support system for getting you to act on this method, I highly encourage you to apply for the Guitar Acceleration Experience.
It practically forces you to grow and become all the closer to the guitar player you know you're capable of being.
Let's do this. We're all waiting for you.
Now that You’ve Seen the Power of Going Nano and How Shows You What to Practice for Maximum Progress:

The Guitar Acceleration Experience if a Proven, Can't-Fail Process for Kicking You into Your Highest-Gear...
It gets you to do the things you know you need to do, but keep avoiding.
It’s a procrastination-obliterator.
It’s a self-doubt eradicator.
And it’s a boredom-blaster.
Most players know exactly what they need to do to improve. But they can’t––for the life of them––get themselves to do it.
Guitar Acceleration is the kick in the pants you need to get off the fence and go for your goals. Stop waiting and start shredding (or playing any other style, of course!)
Guitar Acceleration is the antidote to procrastination, wasted time, and withering potential.
It will give you laser-like focus, strict accountability, and unstoppable motivation.
If you follow the eight “Perfect Practice” methods, you’ll likely progress more during your time in the program than you’ve ever progressed in the past.
You'll Look Back on This Experience as the Single Greatest Investment You've Made in Your Guitar Journey
If all this sounds too good to be true; I don’t blame you.
In fact, I encourage you to doubt it and to be skeptical.
I’m not asking you to take my word for it.
I’m not asking you to take the word of any of the thousands of students who have gone through the program and shared their successes and transformations (you can read and see their stories here).
I’m asking you to ask yourself if you’re ready.
And if you feel nervous; that’s a good sign.
If you feel uncertain; that’s good, too.
It’s the sign that you’re about to stretch outside of your comfort zone and grow.
It’s a Sign that You’re About to Plow Past the Overwhelm that Prevents You from Realizing and Unleashing Your Guitar Genius
It’s a sign that you’re ready to make a long-overdue change.
Trust yourself, not me. Trust yourself, not the herd (or what you’ve heard).
If you’re feeling called to step up and commit to this process; now is your moment.
Stop reading this, click the button below to apply, and let’s get this show on the road.
I’ve reduced the price of the program for you eightfold, to a cost that just barely makes the business viable.
(I've had Guitar Acceleration graduates say it should cost $1,500 or more because of the transformations they experience).
Guitar Acceleration costs a fraction of what the competition is charging for their costly monthly subscriptions, endless up-sells, and their dozens of programs within their confusing product line.
You pay once, for one program, and get access to the program for life.
This includes any and all updates we make to it in the future - no matter how much we increase the price.
This is not a subscription, and you’ll never have to pay for new versions of the program.
Because you have lifetime access to the program from any device:
You can go through the materials each week as they’re released in the student portal, or you can slow things down and work on your own schedule.
So if you’re working a full-time job, running a business, or juggling several part-time jobs... don't worry about falling behind.
We have students who have many kids to care for, or who started the program during a transition or turning point. The 8-week online experience is always available to you.
Remember: Developing Skills on the Guitar Isn't a Linear Process
You can experience big bursts of improvement followed by a plateau for a period of time.
We want this training to be available to help you push through these moments of stagnation.
So rest assured: you can revisit and review the training materials any time.
I’ve eliminated the risk for you with our generous Triple Guarantee (me or my wife, Mari Voiles, will refund anyone who asks (just email support@artistacceleration.com), within 48 hours or less.)
I’m so committed to transforming your guitar skills, that if you aren’t blown away by the experience; I refuse to keep your money.
I’m a man of my word, and it would be out of integrity to allow your investment to go to waste.
In fact, I’m so convicted about this, I put my money where my mouth is in three ways:
1. You get to keep full access to the program for life even if you ask for a refund
2. If you don’t reach your goals, I’ll give you a free one-on-one guitar lesson to help you reach them… plus I’ll donate $100 to your favorite charity, in your name
3. I regular sponsor people into the program for free (I don’t ever want money to get in the way of players experiencing the benefits of Guitar Acceleration).
All you need do is ask and give me a firm case for why you aren’t able to invest, and that you commit to show up and dedicate yourself to the program.
You and I both know you only get what you put into something, and this is no different.
I’ve had many students express that a huge part of the value is having to pay money to attend the course, since that motivates them to want to get their money’s worth by putting in the work*.
(*And although a huge amount of value comes from committing by putting real money on the line… if you simply cannot afford the nominal tuition, you can write to us and request a sponsorship. We regularly grant free access to the program to players who we know are willing to do the hard work involved, but just aren’t in a financial position to pay for it. We aren’t in this to get rich. We’re in this to help people. We don’t want money to stand in the way of you having this experience, but we also gotta keep the lights on, and we reserve the right to cease the sponsorship program if people abuse it.)
If you’re not ready now; that’s totally cool.
You can mull it over and not take action until you feel that burning “yes” inside of you.
But I cannot promise that this offer will still be available.
Spots for the program at this price are limited.
(It’s just not financially feasible for us otherwise. I take care to respond to almost every comment and question I receive from students––and the more students we have, the less time I have to provide the care that I’m committed to providing).
Trust Yourself. Take the Plunge.
...Or go do something else with your time.
Your time and attention are precious, fleeting, non-renewable resources, and I refuse to take up any more of them if this doesn’t feel like a good fit for you.
You’ve always got me rooting for you, no matter what you decide.
But the time to make a decision is now.
There is no right action to take here except for the action that you know is a vote for your greatest self and your untapped potential.
You know what to do. Now I’ll leave you to do it.
Either way, start implementing this method into your practice right now. And if it's a good fit, we're eager to support you in this process.
